The Sales Account Executive will drive new business and revenue growth by introducing the company’s financial data technology solutions to commercial lending businesses and financial institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full sales cycle—identifying prospects, building relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and closing deals.
This role requires a results-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of the financial services landscape, particularly within commercial lending, and the ability to articulate the value of financial data solutions to senior decision-makers.
Sales Account Executive – SaaS (Financial Data Technology) - Key Responsibilities
Full Sales Cycle Management
Identify and engage prospective clients within commercial lending businesses and financial institutions, building a strong pipeline of opportunities through networking, direct outreach, and referrals.
Develop long-term client relationships by understanding their data challenges and regulatory requirements
and demonstrating how the company’s technology can enhance their operations.
Conduct in-depth product demonstrations, showcasing the platform’s ability to improve risk assessment, automate workflows, and enhance financial decision-making.
Oversee the entire sales process, including negotiations, contract discussions, and onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition from sale to implementation.
Industry and Market Engagement
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements affecting commercial lending and financial institutions.
Identify new business opportunities by understanding the evolving needs of lenders, credit risk teams, and financial decision-makers.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with leadership, marketing, and product teams
to align on messaging, customer needs, and product enhancements.
Provide market feedback
to help shape product development and sales strategies.
Performance Tracking
Maintain a well-organised sales pipeline
using CRM tools, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and opportunities.
Report on sales performance, forecasts, and key market insights
to senior stakeholders.
Sales Account Executive – SaaS (Financial Data Technology) - Required Skills and Experience
Proven Track Record:
A minimum of five years’ experience
in B2B SaaS sales, with a strong background in selling to commercial lending businesses, banks, or financial institutions.
End-to-End Sales Experience:
Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial data technology, risk assessment, credit analysis, or commercial lending workflows.
Client-Centric Approach:
Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders in financial institutions, tailoring solutions to their needs, and driving long-term success.
Results-Driven:
Proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets, with a focus on value-based selling and consultative sales techniques.
